BINEX - The International Company for Building Materials is one of the largest building material suppliers in Saudi Arabia. Established in 1981, Binex has since expanded the scope and diversity of its product offering drawn from leading local and international manufacturers. Headquartered in Al Khobar, BINEX operates out of a purpose built showroom, warehouse and office facility. Other showrooms and warehouses are strategically located in Jeddah, Riyadh & Dammam.
BINEX is part of Bina Group of Companies, the building material unit of Arabian Bulk Trade Ltd. (ABT), owned by Xenel Group, one of the oldest and well known business houses operating in Saudi Arabia. Xenel is a conglomerate with more than 44 companies in its fold with operations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Turkey, UK and USA in diverse sectors that include power, petrochemicals, heavy industry, port operations, health, food, investments and others.
Arabian Bulk Trade (ABT) was originally set up in 1976 as a joint venture between the Norwegian cement manufacturer Norcem and Zainal family, the founder of Xenel Group, to import bulk cement into Saudi Arabia. Highly successful during the boom years, it became one of the largest importers and traders of cement in the world.
